Winter Olympics 2010

Hello Friends and Families!
I hope you enjoyed your children reading their nursery rhymes to you out of their nursery rhyme books they made last week! We had a lot of fun and now we are starting a new two-week theme: the Winter Olympics! I can't wait for them to try out all of the sports and practice being future Olympians!!

Tues, 2/16: Teacher Skit for the Olympic Games in the gym
Wed, 2/17: Make different flags from various countries for the games
Thurs, 2/18: Make a torch!
Fri, 2/19: Have an opening ceremonies parade for all of the children

Mon, 2/22: Special guest either today or Tuesday that will show the children how to cross-country ski OUTSIDE!:)
Tues, 2/23: Make bronze, silver, and gold medals
Wed, 2/24: Speed skating competition after making ice skates
Thurs, 2/25: Make popsicle treats for the Olympics
Fri, 2/26: Go sledding OUTSIDE!:)
