New School Year! Happy Back to School:)

Hello Everyone!
I am very excited to start the school year and get to know you and your children better! I will be blogging about our themes and activities (language experiences) every two weeks throughout the school year so feel free to check the blog online via the Northern Voices homepage, then find the "staff" page and click on my name. It will lead you directly to my blog! The first two week theme is "All About Me" and "Body". We have a lot of fun experiences planned and I can't wait! You will also find vocabulary for the theme at the bottom of the page.

Tues, 9/8/: Play "I have something in my backpack..." with the students and find out all of the fun things we can find as we are back at school for the first day.

Wed, 9/9: Read a book together about a gingerbread man who runs all over town and we will have to help find him!

Thurs, 9/10: Go over "How to Be a Good Friend" book and rules at school as we role play manners and how to do a good job starting back at school with good habits!

Fri, 9/11: Talk about sharing and how important it is...make a part of a snack to share with all of the other preschoolers by adding in new ingredients, one by one.


Mon, 9/14: Butcher paper tracing of our bodies and then decorate.

Tues, 9/15: Pizza Snack Face! YUM!

Wed, 9/16: Paint feet and make footprints as an art project.

Thurs, 9/17: Make paper plate faces!

Fri, 9/18: Wash baby doll and other "people" and read "body" books to find out more about our bodies.
